Sarah is an international event professional with expertise in major event planning, operations and sports marketing. She has experience working directly with organising committees and event owners, as an event planning and operations specialist, as well as with sponsors and partners on the exploitation and leverage of their sponsorship and marketing programmes.
She has recently been working at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games delivering operational readiness and simulation exercises for the venue teams and sponsor staff in preparation for the Games. Prior to this she consulted to the Cricket World Cup 2007 delivering operational integration and venue operations programmes. Sarah worked with the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games organising committee developing venue operations and spectator services planning and held senior management positions at the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Sarah also has experience working on commercial programmes for Olympic, international and national events. She was responsible for commercial operational planning for sponsorship, ticketing, merchandising, brand protection and hospitality programmes in her role as General Manager, Commercial at the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games. She also managed and delivered a number of commercial programmes for sponsors and partners at the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games, Athens 2004 Olympic Games and Cricket and Rugby World Cups.
