2006 Commonwealth Games
Overview
Fast Track was exclusively appointed to market the International Broadcast Rights for the 2006 Commonwealth Games by the Melbourne Organising Committee (M2006).
Our Role
Fast Track's obligations were two-fold: to maximize the revenues from the sale of all media rights, including those for television and radio; and to maximize the international broadcast exposure of the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Activity
Utilizing its excellent links with broadcasters Fast Track secured commitments with a record number of broadcasters throughout the world. For the first time, the 'Friendly Games' were seen in the USA, Middle East and most of Europe.
Results
Fast Track exceeded M2006 targets, helped to elevate the profile of the Melbourne Games within and outside the Commonwealth and in doing so maximized commercial revenues and enhanced future value.
