Fast Track awarded overall winner of the best PocketMedia® Campaign
2010-03-05

The winners have been announced for the first PocketMedia® Awards 2009 and with over 1500 votes cast the competition was fierce. Winners included New Look, VONNE, and Loughborough University. The overall winner of the Best PocketMedia® Campaign went to Fast Track for their client Chevron, owner of the Texaco brand and the Texaco Fantasy Football campaign.

The awards programme, sponsored by PocketMedia® specialists Z-CARD®, allowed the industry to vote on their favourite finalist campaign for each of the categories over a one month period. The finalist with the most votes won the category. The overall Best PocketMedia® Campaign award was judged by a panel of PocketMedia® experts including Z-CARD® inventor George McDonald.

Z-CARD® Managing Director Liz Love says ‘this is the first year for the PocketMedia® Awards and the response has been fantastic. The awards are great way to recognise the engaging, creative, and measurable elements PocketMedia® adds to marketing campaigns.'

The finalists demonstrated strong measurable results from their PocketMedia® campaigns with overall winners Texaco demonstrating a 44% increase in Fantasy Football players due to the campaign. "There's no doubt that sign up to the game increased as a direct result of the promotion, and following on from this year's success, it's definitely a promotion that Chevron would like to repeat next year" says Liz Brown, Texaco brand Account Manager at Fast Track

Loughborough University won the Most Successful Campaign category for their Mathscard campaign. The campaign has shown strong results with over 75% of all schools and colleges in England having ordered further mathscards for their students. "Although we had an initial target of 10-15% response rate this was quickly surpassed and has grown each and every year" says Andrew Cooney, Marketing Communications Manager.

Other finalists across the categories included Camden Crawl, Zoo Promotions, Irish National Teacher's Organisation, Beam Creative, the Merchant Hotel, and Nicorette.
