Polar, the global leaders in heart rate monitoring, are delighted to launch the brand new FT4 and FT7 fitness monitors for those looking for a fashionable way to fitness. These two new products from Polar provide the active exerciser with an easy introduction to heart rate based training across a range of sports.
Getting the most out of your training doesn't always mean working faster or harder. The best way to improve fitness and see results is to train at the right intensity, and the new FT7 and FT4 monitors helps you do just that. All you have to do is grab your new training computer, put on a comfortable Polar WearLink textile transmitter, and you're ready to enjoy whatever sport you want.
The FT4 is perfect for those who want to keep their training simple with the basic heart rate features. It shows when the user is improving their fitness, giving a clear view of when the heart rate is in the desired zone. The easy to use FT4 also counts and displays the amount of burned calories allowing the user to know exactly how much work they have done.
The FT7 gives clear training guidance and is the ideal choice for anyone wanting to enjoy their exercise sessions and who also has an eye on achieving their goals. The EnergyPointer feature tells the user if the main effect of their training is fitness improvement or burning fat. This feature counts the center point of these two training effects based on heart rate variability and visually indicates if the heart rate is below or above that point. When the heart rate is below the point, the user is burning fat. Above the point, the user is improving their aerobic fitness. An excellent feature, unique to Polar.
The FT7 also displays the amount of calories you burn while training and, with the optional Polar FlowLink, you have an easy access to your online training diary at polarpersonaltrainer.com. There you can see your progress over time, interact online, download training plans, get tips to tailor your training programs, and even compete with friends in virtual competitions.
"The new FT4 and FT7 from Polar make heart rate-based training simple, allowing the user to know the required intensity based on the purpose of their training," said Liz Shenton, Performance and Training Manager for Polar. "These monitors can help you stay motivated, record data and set targets across a range of exercise."
Both the FT7 and FT4 come with the comfortable Polar WearLink transmitter. Each transmitter has individually coded heart rate transmission, which means there won't be any crossover during group exercise or when there are several people training, so you can be sure your training computer picks up your heart rate and not someone else's.
The new Polar monitors will be launched from October 2009. The FT7 will be available in black with either silver or gold and the FT4 is available in silver and black or bronze. All sets include a WearLink textile transmitter, and a quick guide. Polar FlowLink can be purchased separately as an accessory for the FT7.
