UK School Games

Overview
Fast Track works with the Youth Sport Trust (YST) to deliver the UK School Games, a multi-sport event for the most talented teenagers across the UK, designed to provide a taste of competing at a major 'Games'.

Our Role
Fast Track is responsible for the event management including planning and delivering the Games. This involves working closely with funding partners, the host city, venues, technology providers, sponsors, spectators, officials and volunteers of the sport.

Activity
The inaugural UK School Games took place in September 2006 and brought together over 1000 athletes and team management to the host city of Glasgow. Athletes competed in five sports in 3 World class venues which were transformed for the 4 day spectacle.

Results
With Coventry announced as the host city for 2007 the UK School Games will continue to provide an opportunity for the potential stars of London 2012 to compete in an environment that champions the values and ideals of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
