Visa Paralympic World Cup

Overview
In 2005, Fast Track working in conjunction with Manchester City Council, the BBC, the British Paralympic Association and the International Paralympic Committee created the Paralympic World Cup, a new event designed to be the leading annual global disability sports championship.

Our Role
With less than a year's lead time, Fast Track Events has been responsible for concept development and strategy, funding, sponsorship, broadcasting, federation and Governing Body liaison, facilities & event delivery, marketing and promotions.

Activity
360 athletes from 41 countries around the world competed across four sports (athletics, wheelchair basketball, track cycling and swimming) in a 10 day festival during which time 16 world records were broken.

Results
An annual world class event second in stature only to the Paralympic Games provides elite athletes with more opportunities to compete internationally.
