Overview
Fast Track was appointed by Clydesdale Bank to leverage its sponsorship of the Scottish Commonwealth Games Team in the build-up to, and during, the 2006 Commonwealth games in Melbourne.
Our Role
Fast Track devised and delivered a nine month PR campaign to promote Clydesdale's association with the Scottish team. This involved working with national and local broadcasters and print titles.
Activity
Fast Track established a strong media partnership with The Sun to highlight the new generation of Scottish talent and created 'masterclass' experiences to inspire children in Commonwealth sports. A regional press campaign using athletes' columns further drove awareness of the sponsorship in the lead up to M2006.
Results
Fast Track created a highly-prominent platform on which Clydesdale's association with the Scottish Commonwealth Games team was established. During the course of the campaign over 24million adults were reached with key messages, creating an advertising equivalent value of £1.1million and an ROI of 14:1.
