The UK School Games was born as a concept in 2006 immediately after London secured the right to host the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. The challenge for Fast Track, working with the Youth Sport Trust, is to provide an event that enhances the competitive pathways for young elite athletes of school age and give them a genuine multi-sport experience with competition at the highest level, opening and closing ceremonies and an athlete's village. The event, which goes to a different city every year, currently includes nine sports and integrated disability provision. Fast Track's role involves the provision of event, communication and commercial services in support of the UK School Games
